Replace Your Camera’s Poor Audio Quality with Your External Mic Audio
Remember, when capturing separate audio and video files (aka whenever you use an external microphone NOT directly plugged into your camera), you will need to sync up your footage in postproduction.
To do this quickly & easily, ALWAYS clap 1-3 times after hitting record on both devices.
This creates sound spikes on both tracks — both on the camera audio AND on your external mic audio — which will make it very easy to sync each track together using the Slide tool.
